Ingredients
150 gr cashews
Optional: a pinch of salt
Preparation
1. Start by toasting the cashews to enhance their flavor. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Spread the cashews evenly on a baking sheet and roast them for 8-10 minutes, or until they are light golden brown. Keep a close eye on them, as nuts can burn quickly. Let the roasted cashews cool to room temperature.
2. Place the cooled cashews in a high-powered blender or food processor. Blend the nuts on high speed until they turn into a creamy paste. This process may take several minutes. At first, the nuts will turn into a crumbly mass, but keep blending until the oil in the nuts is released and a smooth butter forms. If necessary, add a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
